National Geographic is celebrating 125 years of publishing. There is a display at the headquarters museum depicting all 125 covers. Also on display are cameras, equipment, and audio interviews of Geographic’s’ longtime photographers. A very worthwhile exhibition.

The EAA’s Aluminum Overcast came to Leesburg for a visit this past weekend. Flights got canceled the day I visited due to weather. The plane was open for walk-throughs though. It was a pretty cool experience.
One of the benefits to living in the Washington DC metro area is access to fantastic museums. Today a new display was delivered to the National Air and Space museum. It was so large it had to be delivered bolted to the outside of a Boeing 747. The NASA space shuttle Discovery was delivered to the Udar-Hazy museum for permanent display. It will replace the shuttle Enterprise which will be moved to New York.
